re: DailyMail smuggles gun onto train

Why not still smuggle the firing pin in but not put it in the gun? Would be more impressive if they would have brought some metal parts.

Had a coworker bring mace on to a plane last week. She had two cans of mace/pepper spray in her purse. She totally forgot about, and no one said shite. It wasn't until we tried to go into the Capitol that security found it & threw it away.

I flew all the way to Greece and was about to take another flight while there when they finally caught me with a massive fricking jug of aloe vera/sun tan lotion. The gelatin looking stuff.

My mom had thrown it in there before I went and I had no idea. I could have blown up 5 damn planes with how big this "jug" was.

It appears that it was more of an example of "look at what I can do" than anything. The necessary metal parts are easy to smuggle and not what the experiment was about.

I agree here. This was an experiment in, "how many ZOMGs can I get from the idiots who think this is actually a deadly weapon"
Gonna take more than a chunk of plastic to wow me. Bring all the parts that make it a functioning deadly weapon and then I'll be somewhat impressed, not totally because airport screeners are $8/hr government empoyees or what I like to call the worst of the worst

It is a gun. Especially legally.

I don't think this is the case.

I think this was the Daily Mail doing the UK government's bidding.

Does wearing a hemp bracelet onto a plane mean you smuggled marijuana past security?

Considering the two are different things, no...

Smuggling THC oil on a plane is a more apt comparison.
