That's what I was worried about when I used them, had hits, but nothing slammed it. I'll try them after we get them in a frenzy with live fo sho if soft plastic on a jig head doesn't work.

Def an inferior hook. They need an upgrade in this area. Strictly a cork bait in my mind.

U am talkin soft plastics. I change em when i cant even work the bait without it being halfway down the hook. As far as size, im usually atchin big fish on croakers or pogies. Fish i catch on plastics tend to be smaller anyway. But i do fish live bait pretty hard. Im in no way and artificial fanatic.

Picked up 2 packs from superior today. Smaller than I thought they'd be, but can't wait to wet em.

Good luck, I tried 'em a couple of times so far with less than stellar success. Perhaps after T/M heads south I'll give them another try.
