Fishing from the bank?

Can't help you there. It's hard enough finding them from a boat.

I still think my best catch around Slidell was a washer. When I first moved down here everyone always had a spot around Slidell. They were all busts. I had better fishing in Lake Meade than anything anyone showed me in Slidell.

Hell...I've lived in Slidell for 18 years now, and I still have yet to find an everyday producing spot(one!) like the many spots I had around shell beach lake borgne...

Whatever you do you need some matrix shad. That's obviously the only bait that catches in the lake.

South side of the trestles has been pretty good but not a great place to take kids to fish as it's hard fishing for many adults. I would try the rigs in Lake Borgne out of the rigolets.

In a boat.

I've never had luck in the lake.

Just thought I would ask the OB brethren.

South side of Trestles, live strimpz on drop shot rigs. And by south,I mean about 100' North of the rocks. Fish west side and throw away from the bridge. Fish have been holding about 50-150' off the bridge.

Right at the beginning of the Rigolets, the last point before the bridge. There use to be a house there. It's redfish and flounder magic. Not a far ride and usually a sure thing.

It doesn't matter what it was anymore does it. Thanks for correcting me though, I'm sure the OP needed to know what use to be there.

I can still catch on any of those.Dudley Baychovey is still one of my favorites on the bridges but those Matrix are a little better.
