BJ sucks dude. There is no way around that. I guess you could defend his horrendous stats or the fact he gets benched for a minor league talent in Jordan Schafer. Show me how BJ Upton is worth the contract.

Do you really think Beachy will be sporting a super low ERA and a k/9 above 8? Odds are he will not be a shut down ace right away.

The Uggla thing is merely a prediction. He has seven homers in 34 games despite sucking. 30 homers seems pretty reasonable.

It doesn't have to be super low, it just has to be less than Teheran's

BJ does not suck.

There's a lot of ways around it.

He's been a 3+ win player for 5 of the last 6 years.

He's off to a horrendous start at the plate, but most people wouldn't define a player by 138 PAs.

What reason do I have to believe Beachy will be anything but what he's always been as a pro?

You think BJ Upton sucks but defend Dan Uggla. That pretty much sums up what you say.
