Ha, playing in a league with much more parity and defending Frank has averaged...
La Liga is superior to EPL, get over it.
As I said, I applauded him in another thread, and admire him. That said, let´s not go overboard.

Just a matter of the defintion of legend.
The point is, Frank is a legend by any definition. Anyone still trying to argue that is a clown.

This year possibly, over the majority of those players careers it's not even close.

debateable, but I get your point.
The last two still have much time to play.

Close, sure.

Not really.

Iniesta maybe, but Xavi is well into the down side of his career.

It is, the dominance of the top two doesn´t wrest merit from the others. Not at all. Top to bottom, I´d take La Liga.

As is, was, Lampard. Xavi´s role is less physically taxing, and geared to assisting, he´ll further strengthen the aforementioned average.
As I said before, apples and oranges.
Very different players, in different systems, and whose roles are different. Always have been, hence my quick retort to all your superiority claims of Lampard. They are called upon to do different things, and all do them very, very well.

No one will disagree with that but you have never given Frank the kind of respect you are claiming to now. Even in this thread you keep trying to discredit him as simply a "Chelsea legend". Do you consider Xavi only a "Barca legend"?

The soon to be Sir Frank is a legend. Anywhere.

I was waiting for this, Randy. You never asked. It was always about a direct confrontation between him and Xavi.
Chelsea legend, because I don´t know if he´ll live on internationally as one.
I for one, thought he was perfect for Real Madrid, back in 2009 or so.
He was linked then to a Barça move, but that was bullshite based on him having a Catalonian girlfriend at the time.
The Chelsea Project was strong, and he was pivotal, in their system.

So maybe it's just been a misunderstanding all this time.

England legend, at worst.

He's always been perfect for Chelsea.

No, in retrospect, you´re correct. He´ll be a legend.
ETA Provided of course, that Chelsea continues as a topflight contender and serious CL potential favorite.
If they go the way of Leeds, for example, after the Russian leaves or is imprisoned, he could get lost in the collective ignimony.
