Great rant on DLC for games

People who just casually pick this one up due to the Guy with Gun on Cover effect are gonna shite themselves quick

DLC is annoying but all you can do as a consumer is not buy it. I rarely buy DLC. I better love a game to buy it and most times I bought it was with a bundle special and I never used it. IT's funny how under the radar this game has been. Guy at gamestop yesterday was telling me how no one has been preordering or talking about it at all.

There is nothing wrong with dlc in general. In fact, I usually really enjoy game extending dlc, such as is found borderlands 1 and 2.

The only dlcs that upsets me is on disc dlc that actually affects the story, ie the prothean character in ME3, and pay to win dlc.

ETA: I can only imagine how great dlc for FF6 would have been if dlc existed in the 90s.

DLC is good

Taking things from the game, to sell as DLC later, is garbage. COD is the king at that.

If anyone bought the gun wraps for bo2, then you have zero voice to bitch, you just set the bar, on how stupid a consumer would be.

nah, its nowhere near the same issue as people have with EA, at least for me. DLC is low on the list of reasons i dislike EA

And Metro is fricking awesome so it won't be a ripoff.

Just my opinion. I don't mind paying for awesome content. I dont even mind DLC.. its a great way to extend the life of a great game.

DLC is horseshite.


Now I did buy the season pass or whatever for Borderlands, but I did it with 3 other people, and I think we paid like $50 apiece, for the game and any DLC that would come out for the game.

yeah, season pass is the new way to stick it up consumers arse.

you get all the DLC, blah blah.

More shite is taken from the games, and sold as DLC.


for christs sake, Activision sold old CoD4 maps, as part of a DLC. Maps you already paid for, with cod4. Then redesigned old WAW/BO maps and sold them as new maps.

Now that the new generation of consoles will be out, and no excuses to not have larger disks and better graphics, what will their excuses be for small map packs in games? no more claiming xbox cannot handle the disks, they are blu ray players, so no excuses not to load a game with 20ish maps, great, long campaigns, etc.
