well, I guess I kind of felt like this season would be it. I didn't really like the way they shaped Sherman's arc, it ended up becoming kind of outlandish. He goes from wide eyed, idealistic, do-gooder rookie, to Alonzo frickin Harris from Training Day in less than 3 seasons.

Also killing Cooper off wasn't promising as far as the show having a future.

It was fun while it lasted. They squeezed 5 seasons out of a show that we all thought was dead to rights after 6 episodes of a first season.

tonight I pour out some liquor though. RIP Southland. RIP!

Yeah, that may have been a stretch but he was one hell of a dirty cop this past season. He basically had his partner's house burglarized and his partners son's life in danger as a result. In real world cop society, his arse would be grass and many cops would happy to be the lawn mower.

He also shite where he was eating by banging one of the ese's hoodrats.

Cooper deserved better than that for sure.

I need to watch the first season sometime soon. I can barely remember it.
