I believe the NFL should provide a decent insurance policy and the players have the choice to purchase it or not.
They make plenty of money over their careers to be able to afford health insurance. They choose not to use it or buy it knowing the damage they did to their own body then that's on them, not the fans. They could have bought one less car and had their healthcare needs taken care of for life.
I've got no interest in coddling coddled athletes long after they've quit playing.
