If a restaurant has a bar, you can carry at the restaurant part but not at the bar part. There is usually a clearly designated area.

Many times, the flooring changes from the restaurant to the bar area. Look for a change from carpet to wood, or a step up to the bar area.

I asked a good friend who is a local cop and he said absolutely 100% can not carry if a restarant sells alcohol. He also backed this up with his sergeant.
So I don't know carry at your own risk I guess.
