What do you all think? I, for one, understand that you can't win them all and last night was disgusting and we had to match up with one of the best pitchers in the SEC.

But this isn't close to the best pitcher we will face over the next four weeks especially if we face Vandy in the SEC tourney.

I hope we bounce back and win the next 2 games, if they can play them, and we don't get screwed out of a game because of SEC rules that state you have to play 3 games over 3 days, in any order but you can't extend to a 4th day.

This loss hurts, imo, because it felt like we woke up last weekend from our mini slump. I don't think one loss puts us back in a slump but the bats are too inconsistent outside of 5 guys. (Laird, Ross, Stevenson need to hit the ball instead of being routine outs)

thoughts?

ehhhh dont think you can necessarily say that....at this point in the season you're getting the best shot from teams that need wins to get in the postseason and that is exactly aTm's position....plain and simple if you look at it on a one game perspective we DIDN'T need that win as bad a aTm did.....now tonite is a different story....before we analyze, speculate, or break down anything i personally think we should see how we respond over the next two days

It was one game. Was a clusterfrick to begin with due to all the delays. I'm sure the team isn't used to playing from 945-1230am. Nola will pitch tonight and dominate then we will take the rubber match.

When was the last time LSU went 3 up 3 down in the 7th, 8th and 9th innings of a 1 run game? I am thinking never.

THIS

Thank you.

I am a HUGE baseball guy on TD and I was not being negative, nor would I ever say we shite the bed. I am just gathering everyone's feelings and thoughts about last night because, frankly, I am still pissed about staying up late and allowing those tards to score two runs late in the game.

I'm going to go with baseball reasons as why we lost.

Road
Rain Delay
Not our best pitcher (even though it looks like he pitched a great game)
shite happens

It's baseball, just win the series.

Meaning Ross, Laird, Stevenson in order will not work. That's 3 outs in a row right now.

Nope. Last nights game was a shitty situation. Weather delays, late start, field conditions. Motivation was not there for the players last night. It was only one game and has no bearing on future outings or expectations.

Well for starters they are not all batting in a row.

Way over thinking this one bud. It was 1 game. We will win the next 2 and last night won't matter 1 bit.
