Lets talk pitching. I see a lot of young starters who are finally settling down... they could pay off the second half of the season if you're patient.
There are also quite a few more rookies that have been called up / or about to be called up and most have good chances of sticking to in the starting rotation.
besides the obvious guys like Cole, Wacha, Cingrani ect ect who are no longer available in most leagues... who is everybody adding/watching?
Current young starting pitchers I like:
- Martin Perez SP Rangers - Handled the Cardinals and their best lineup in baseball pretty damn good last saturday. Also being on a top team like Rangers always helps. He is definitely worth a spot if you can spare it.
- Chris Archer SP Rays - A huge talent that will likely start to settle down even more so as the season goes on. Yeah the AL East can be a tough schedule to swallow for a young pitcher, but he is gonna spin some more gems this year.
-Kyle Gibson SP Twins - A lot of excitement around this kid apparently. He is making his MLB debut on saturday 6/29 against the Royals. The Twins need another starter for there rotation so the word is that he will stay in the bigs for now.
-Erasmo Ramirez SP Mariners -
who else you got?

quote:Erasmo sounds like a must stash if you have the roster space. definitely grab him especially if your league has a NA roster spot.
Erasmo Ramirez struck out seven over eight scoreless innings at Triple-A Tacoma.
He allowed just five singles and didn't walk anyone. To make it even more impressive, Ramirez's start came in Las Vegas, which is a hitter's haven. Ramirez has now tossed 15 straight scoreless innings at Triple-A and boasts an 18/4 K/BB ratio over 20 2/3 frames overall. It won't be long before he joins the Mariners' rotation and he's worth stashing in mixed leagues.
who else you got?

No response for my pitchers discussion? ^^
Well, I'm just here to gloat a little bc Martin Perez owned the Reds tonight for 6.2 shutout innings and the W.

Perez doesnt strike anyone out.
Archer has a nice K potential. His slider is a big whiff pitch.
Gibson pitches in a pitcher's park. Could be worth a look. Im not sure how his K potential will translate. Should be around 7k per 9 if I had to guess.
Erasmo was good last year, I'd snatch him up.
Robbie Erlin could be worth a look as far as younger guys go.
Drew Pomeranz got the call for tomorrow. Could be decent if he sticks. Start him away from Coors
