Here is a funny song about how formulaic country music tends to be.

Ok. It sucks. Pickup Man by Joe Diffie is the only song that should be sung about a truck.

gatorhata, that big brick office building area by River Mill apartments across from the Blind Pig. I don't know what it is now, but when I was at UGA a friend of mine from Jefferson knew brantley, and for some reason brantley bought (or leased, whatever) that massive arse building to live in for a while. My buddy got 6 or 7 of us together one night and we went over there and partied with him.

It's not the coolest story, but it's funny thinking back now since I had never even heard of the guy and now he's on the radio. I don't like his music, btw.

Oh and the leader of the band perry is frickin hot. I'd rather listen to TBP than 90% of the stuff that passes as "country" on the radio these days.

Let's be clear. This is nothing "new." They've been making formulaic country like this since forever.

Yeah, in that bend in the road that overlooks the river.

That's a fricking police station now? Damn, that sucks. I spent 3 years in river mill, I can't imagine being next to a police station.

If we're thinking of the same place then yeah, part of that building is a police station. No holding cells or anything but where they conduct breathalyzers and do paperwork.

I used to love country more than anyone on the planet. Now, country sucks. Not what it used to be.

You're not looking in the right places. If you love country as much as you claim to then there is no excuse not to be following the new up and comers popping up all over the south. I personally think the indie country scene has as much or more great talent than the genre has ever seen

Can you throw out some suggestions from the indie county scene? I'd love to check some out.
