Anyone have any experience with this piece? Saw one at a gun show a while back and it's been on my mind since then.I don't know anyone personally who has one to try out and there isn't a whole lot of info on them online because they are out of production. I kinda want it for a CC, I think.

Currently already have a Sig P226 and Beretta 92, both in 9mm.

I have one and it is an excellent pistol, pobably the best 380 on the market, certainly top 3 at least. I like them because the safety system gives you the option to carry "cocked and locked", which is my peferred mode.

My best friend's mother has carried one of those things for years. I fired it about 12 years ago and it didn't miss a lick. It didn't fit me, but it seemed like a really solid weapon.

I bet the 84 Cheetah is a well-built gun since it's based on the 92 design.

That being said, I see ZERO purpose in a full-sized, metal-framed 380. There are TONS of other 380s out there that can fit in a pocket and that is the only role I see a 380 filling. Since LCPs, P380s, and BodyGuards are tiny, that is their appeal - they can fit in your pocket. Unfortunately, this heavy and large gun is too big and you can't use it for pocket carry.

If you are a carrying a gun inside your waistband, there is VERY little reason to not get a 9mm. 9mm is THAT much better than 380 and you get the exact same amount of ammo in a comparable 380 magazine since the rounds are the same diameter.

So, if you wish to carry in your pocket, get a different 380. If you wish to carry in your waistband, get a 9mm or a larger bore, like 40 S&W or 45 ACP.

But if you just want it because it's a cool gun, I can respect that.
