My moms had a few turkey breast she bought at thanksgiving, I took on and am going to smoke it this weekend. I pretty much know what method I'm gonna use even though I've never done a turkey before.

But If anyone has any helpful tips or tricks..............I'm all ears.

This tells you how to smoke a whole turkey and a breast. It helped me when I smoked a turkey breast for Easter. I didn't brine the turkey, I injected it. And I used a wet rub of olive oil and herbs. Turned out pretty damn good if I do say so.

I'll be interested to hear how it came out. I tried it once and it came out tasty but very dry.

I'll give you a little Texas secret... After you put your rub, coat that bad boy in mayo. Trust me. The fat in it will protect the meat from drying out, and it completely breaks down. Comes out awesome.

All the good bbq restaurants do it. Works like a charm.
