The point is not, as some people imagine, whether a single player makes or breaks a program. The issue is whether we can call this year's recruiting effort a success. By happenstance, we have a ton of hihg four and five star talent in the state or otherwise instictively inclined to come here. We ought to get the lion's share of these recruits under any circumstances. When someone comes in to directly challenge us on an exceptional in state talent like Robinson, it is a test of mettle as recruiters. Alabama has made Cam Rob a priority. He has no special ties there. Can we keep him home? If not, we can't call this a successful campaign, no matter how many other good athletes fall in our lap.
