Sticky Fingers is the greatest Rolling Stones album. Exile has a bit too much filler. Let It Bleed is right behind Sticky Fingers.

As many say on here, you shut your whore mouth.

Exile has no filler.

As to Sticky Fingers being superior, I´m not so sure. Not at all. I´d say they´re on par, at best.

There is something about Let It Bleed, that escapes words.

The possibly weakest álbum of the stretch which CDawg refers to, may be Beggar´s. But, even then, had the Stones not produced Let It Bleed, or Sticky Fingers, I think many would dare to say it´s a perfect álbum.

Exile is great too, the "Rocks Off" is an all-timer for an opener

I disagree

Rip This Joint and Shake Your Hips are automatic skips for me. Casino Boogie is pretty meh too.

Honestly I go Rocks Off, skip the next three, then listen to the rest of the album after Tumbling Dice

If I could discard any, it would be Tumbling Dice.

Of that run I mentioned, I actually favor Beggars. But between those four, you cannot go wrong.

I hear ya. I couldn´t discard any, not even at gunpoint. I guess, Beggar´s has only eight songs, hence my comment.

Aside from the obvious hits, Stray Cat Blues and Jigsaw Puzzle (especially this one) are two of the most unknown epic Stones songs.

ETA Sorry, obvious hits aside

Let It Bleed suffers a bit from not having Mick Taylor. Underrated guitar player

doesn´t suffer at all. He wasn´t around. Brian Jones was still alive, and a major, major creative forcé in that band.

There would have been no Monkey Man without him.

He is very, very well regarded.
