Both are excellent and will last plenty of seasons. I have a mix of Echo, Stihl, and Husqvarna equipment and I can't say anything bad about any of them in terms of functionality. I bought my dad a Echo PB-210 leaf blower more than 10 years ago and it still runs fine with virtually no maintenance on it besides a filter change and brushing the carbon off the sparkplug once a year or so. Same for the Echo hedge trimmer, flawless. I have a Stihl KM-55R for my little yard and it has no problem with thick grass and weeds. I prefer the standard Stihl trimmer heads over the gimmicky ones offered by other brands, they just work no matter what line you cram in them. My Husky blower really woke up after I modded the muffler and tuned it a little. I run good 89 oct fuel and Stihl HP Ultra oil at 50:1 in all of them.
