An 8 team fomat is what is really needed due to the scheduling bull shite.

The 4 team system is the best format without making the regular season an irrelevant waste of time.

If you can't win your conference championship, you don't deserve to play for a national title. After all, there can only be one national champion.

The longer the playoff format, the more it has to do with depth of talent or luck with injuries than the best team.

The SEC's complaint with the BCS was that their champion had less of a chance of going undefeated and therefore was eliminated due to a tougher SEC schedule.

If not for Ohio St's post season ineligibility, your SEC champion (Bama) would have been eliminated last year. That would have been wrong, but the 4-team format solves the problem.

We don't need a rematch of the SEC C.G. or a rematch of Bama and TAM. Losing during the season should have consequences.

Since there is no rule that eliminates a team from the final-4, a rematch as we had in 2011 when Bama and LSU were clearly the most dominate teams, there can be a rematch if no other worthy opponent exists. But that should be rare.

A deeper team is a better team.

Good points mostly, except for this one:

This is ridiculous. The two best teams should be playing for the National Championship. If both of them are from the same conference, that has no bearing whatsoever on the National Title race. The only difference in that case is that whichever one lost the regular season (or conference championship game) matchup has to win twice. None of this split two games and call yourself champions because only one of them "counts" bullshite. Any game that is played has to count, or there is absolutely zero point in playing them.
