We don't need it anymore than we need to watch the football game. It's all entertainment. Nothing wrong with looking at a sexy woman singing for a couple of minutes and then watching football.

It is to get women to watch. NBC knows (or any other network really) that men will watch regardless. So they add stupid shite to the program because they know men will watch regardless of the outside content.
