Not sure where we're going with this. I'm not arguing with you. I am saying that it isn't exactly a light work load to average 110 pitches for 4 starts in a row. I also realize that most (probably about 97%) of the pitches he has thrown during that stretch were not high stress pitches. While I don't think it is a light workload for the kid, I also don't think he is going to get tired and I don't think the low velocity on Friday night was any indication of him losing strength.

It's not a light workload but not overworking his arm either. Basically, I wouldn't be opposed to giving him the hook after 6 or 7 and about 85 pitches in the next couple weeks. I think our bats can provide that based on the opponent and current momentum.
