Having never played lacrosse before...getting hacked with those sticks doesn't frick up their forearms? Or are the sticks pretty light?

My kid plays and he always has bruises and says it hurts. The aluminum sticks are light but we have hickory one and it is very solid but not as quick.

I wouldn't want to get whacked with them.

it hurts like hell. the sticks are fairly light, but they're still made out of metal. they're hollowed out, but are made to be strong yet light. you have forearm/elbow pads too

I never felt it in the games, only practice.

I did go to cross check a guy one time and my stick broke in half and sliced my arm. didn't feel it or notice it until the ref sent me off the field

I was asking the bench for another stick, and the ref saw the blood going down my arm, no flag though

Nice show of sportsmanship when the Duke coach had them remove their championship hats and shirts before they shook hands. Classy.
