I 100% agree. I've got a number of friends that will quote anything from Seinfeld to Southpark to Caddyshack to MacGruber... and then there's that one friend who will chime in with a completely unrelated Family Guy quote. And everyone just kinda gives him a pity laugh and it completely derails all the quoting.
What's really annoying about it is he picks a quote that is not only overused, but it just never was that funny, nor the best part of that scene. And my other friends and I usually quote things that are relevant to the situation like we were at an LSU baseball game the other day and an opposing fan was cheering for their team so I leaned into my friend and gave him "Guess that's my guy...I can take him, no problem." like Randy from South Park

My friend cracked up, then our other friend randomly responds with an Anchorman quote that had no application to the situation or my quote, then proceeded to laugh his arse off at his own quote. Turrible
