Don't care how big they are. Just want some action of catching them for the kids. Thanks

Beau Chene ponds if you are with kids. You will catch perch for days
End of Lake rd in Madisonville if you want to target something bigger

Also have sunset point in Mandeville with the fishing pier. Fairview State park is also a good place to fish from the bank. Have caught quite a few fish at the bridge at Cane Bayou and 190 also.

There's some construction taking place at the Lake Rd launch. The dip launches are open, but the piers under the awnings are blocked off. They are also rebuilding the breakwater/bulkhead, so you can't get to the water from the boat ramps all the way to the sunken tug. There was a Madisonville cop out there yesterday barking at people over his PA.

Go to the locks at Simmesport.

I always see people fishing off the pier at Fairview-Riverside. Not sure how much they're catching, but it's a nice spot and there are restrooms right there.

Both launches and about 3/4 of the parking lot are open. The lot is as full of potholes as it's ever been.
