Holy crap, I always thought Chinese Bandits was the nickname for the defense. I never knew it was basically a third string bunch of misfits who were unleashed on people to give the starters a break. The more you fricking know

Clemson coach Frank Howard made that mistake for reals - he claimed the Tigers first team was pretty good, but he couldn't wait for us to put in those 'third stringers' - he'd run the ball down their throats.
Bandits took care of business in that game.
