Star Trek Question: 3D or no 3D?

Is this one of the movies I should see in 3D? I usually think no, but I didn't know if these visuals might call for it.
There are some on here who seem to know whether the movie was shot in 3D and worth it or if it was just added cheap after the fact. Is this one I should see in 3D or don't worry about it?

You should definitely see it in 3D.

I saw the preview in IMAX before the Hobbit in December. It looked incredible in IMAX 3D.
I'm sold on the 3D version.

This. 3D only worth it if it's done right in IMAX.

Any chance I can skip a 3D version in favor of a 2D, I take it.

Yeah, but this is going to have the Vulcan sex scene, and lots of free falls, car chases and space combat scenes coming right at you. You don't want to miss the 3D version of those scenes, do you?
