Not to be too high and mighty, but try pitching a big league game. The hitter isn't watching a strike always to see the release. 99% of the time he is sitting first pitch spot and pitch and if its not there, he's willing to give a strike to reset on another pitch. The scouting reports dictate this, just like the pitcher's scouting report tells the pitcher who the first pitch swingers are. If the pitcher is scouted to be a strike thrower who gets ahead with his fastball, hitters go up lookin fastball. It really isn't much harder than that

I really hated to see Katz reaction there. He's fighting himself now. Looks to be pressing. That was a Jacoby-like sulk job there after that play.

Slipping can be an error. In most cases, if its a play that should be made, it's an error. College baseball is MUCH more loose with those.
