Those with 20-20 hindsight were quick to blast him last week for starting McCune on Sunday, so isn't it only fair to give credit for starting Glenn last night, since it turned out well?

If he had started him on Sunday, he wouldn't have been ready for Thursday. So the people that complained about not starting him on Sunday would contradict themselves by saying it was a good move to start him on Thursday.

But it's not like LSU fans have ever contradicted themselves on this board before.

The only reason he started him last night was because of the heat he got from ranters.

Risky putting your number three up against the opponents ace but it paid dividends.

CPM makes excellent pregame decisions and has done so throughout his career at LSU.

I like CPM so don't take this as bashing ....

However, I struggle with CPMs timing on making the call to the pen. He was late last night and he's late a lot. If we don't get 2 hits to start the B8 the game could have been differnet.

That said, the same decision will be inconsequential tonight. Nola rolls.

a lot of people didnt like the move after glenn having such a good outing. he didnt deserve to lose his spot after having one of his best outings of the year. and those thoughts were had before mccune's sunday performance.

Pitching Glenn worked out. Now let's get more than 3 runs this time around. That'd be nice.

You're probably not going to get many people admit they were wrong about last Sunday. Especially people who have never coached a baseball game at any level (or even put on a jockstrap) while they second guess a coach who was elected to the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame three months ago.

I assumed when he started McCune on Sunday that he was doing so because he wanted to start Glenn the following Thursday. I wish Glenn could have started both games, but that's too short of rest for a college SP. He did the right thing, considering that we have 2 more Th/Fri/Sat series to finish out the season.

CPM is human to just like everyone else. He made a mistake starting McCune when he wasn't ready but he learned from it, started Glenn last night and got the win. Now lets go take over Omaha again!

Most on here didn't agree with it, but I thought it was a good idea to keep Nola on his same rotation after three straight complete games. Ended up working, thankfully.
