Curry having bad ankles makes this close, but Melo.

Curry.

I want someone who is elite at shooting. Melo is an amazing athlete but he's not mentally tough.

Even though I don't really care for either guy, I'd take Curry. He seems more likely to coexist with other superstars.

The ankles scare me, but on talent alone, I got to go with Curry

Yea Curry's glass ankles are the only thing that make this a debate in my mind. They're obvioulsy much different players but Melo has shown no ability to elevate his teammates.

I think Melo is a better pure scorer than Curry with better size. Curry is just going to get beat up by bigger defenders and won't last as long.

Melo, only because of Curry's injury history which scares the hell out of me.

Denver won't be the only team that goes for his ankles in an attempt to take him out of the game.

Who else is on my team? Clearly this should be taken into consideration.

League is starting to go smaller. Big men aren't quite as important as they once were.

why is that?

Curry shoots a higher percentage. I would assume takes alot more outside shots too. Melo takes what should be higher percentage shots

After reading your title only, the two players that popped into my mind were D.Rose and Curry.....

To answer your question Curry....

Curry and it ain't even close. Carmelo doesn't make his teammates better. And he's a bit of a diva.

I did not expect everyone to be so one sided on this (not that I disagree)

Eta: if Melo goes off tonight and I asked this question tomorrow, I wonder what the response would be

Curry's ankles make it a bit iffy, but his contract makes it easy. In 3 years Curry will be making $11 million while Melo will probably be starting a new deal making $25 million. Curry gives you enough financial flexibility to add another star player, Melo is eating a lot of cap space.
