We can't just assume all those WRs are equally talented because they fit the description of small WRS.

How so? What are appropriate numbers for those guys to put up into their sophomore years to not be considered slight disappointments?

Beckham caught over 40 balls his freshman and sophomore year. Landry caught over 50 balls his sophomore year after playing mainly special teams his freshman year.

They were incosistent at times, but I don't see how their roles limited them.

Now I would agree that lack of great production at the QB position limited them.
