No way that is real, but it does have a point.
STOP frickING BUYING THEIR GAMES.
That is all.
And EA sucks.

How I reason it is this:
A company like EA has a job. That job is to put out a quality product that the consumers will buy. If that product is of quality, the consumer will reciprocate that quality product by purchasing from that company again. Although oil companies may be Evil in the way this letter(although fake) describes, they continue to put out quality gas, oil, etc.
This is where EA fricked up. They began with quality product and then got lazy. They started putting out 99% finished games, then 95%, then 90% finished games. They then started charging consumers for that complementary #% of the game. They then made a very critical error where they got even lazier and screwed up the ending to a very, very popular franchise (Mass Effect3). This brought their screw ups into the limelight and everyone started realizing how bad of a company they are.
TL:DR- EA is voted worst company because they got greedy and started cutting corners. They might not be evil, but they dont do their job properly.

Phil sums up Moore's feelings about the situation.

While there is some truth in this, they got voted worst company because a huge portion of their consumer base is entirely apathetic and prefers to voice their displeasure through meaningless polls like this instead of not buying games.

Yeah, youre also right. Big time gamers have become very entitled.

I've been gaming since I was 3 (roughly 25 years) and I've heard more bitching and entitlement as it relates to video games in the last two years than I had ever heard in my previous 23.
Sometimes I think people just like complain about anything. The game could be perfect, but it seems there's always something that needs to be complained about.
I for one still find it amazing that I can spend $30 on BF3 and have hundreds upon hundreds of hours of fun for less than 2 hours worth of work.
Can improvements be made to some games? Of course. But when you think of the amount of time you spend on most of your games, the price you pay in cash really isn't that much.

Right on, there are definitely games that deserve to be complained about (the new Aliens game for one), but by and large there is this pervasive entitlement mentality that has taken over hardcore gaming.
