Just caught a bit of the commentary on one of ESPN's shows this morning, and the subject was who is going to replace Bud Seileg when he retires next yr. Joe Torre & Bob Costas were the 2 run away winners in their informal poll. Torre is in his 70's & I doubt Costas would want to take a pay cut of that significance. So, would make a good commissioner? Am sure Petey Rose would vote for anyone not named Seileg.

I just hope it's someone that isn't outraged by the thought of the DH being in both leagues.
Which is an issue I'm very surprised the players association hasn't brought up more.

Yeah, Selig makes around 18 mill and Bob Costas makes 3 million. frick Bob Costas though.

I'm not trying to bait anyone into anything.
I personally would like to see the DH in both leagues, so I'd like to see a commissioner that is open to the discussion. (FWIW, I don't know Selig's stance on it.)
