1. if anything shep gets more excuses than anyone I can remember for his lack of production, so you're full of shite.
2. I never had a problem with his lack of meeting expectations because it happens.....but he started to aggravate me when he began pouting and making excuses. He's not a bad kid at all, but he really needs to learn to just shut the hell up.

He did much better his first two years before his role was redefined. He's a very good athlete with marginal football talent.

My problem isn't with people who think Shep is overrated. It's the two or three that find every opportunity to bash him. Same people in every thread. Shep is some kind of bat signal.

yes, but it's also a signal for the "if it weren't for Les Shep would have been in New York for the Heisman ceremony" crowd...

This is, for a fact, a reason why some on here bash him at every opportunity. They have developed a kneejerk reaction against him because he has been used as a point man in the criticism of our offense and by extension the criticism of Les. Moreover, it fuels their desire for him to fail in the NFL. Their desire is for him to have no success so they can use it as ammo to defend Les against those who use Shepard as a point of criticism. For those of you in which this is the case, Shepard really has nothing to do with this so don't react against him because some are using his non-performance as a reason to criticize our offense/Les. Our offense has been an abomination. Jacob Hester and Charles Scott tweeted how our offense sucked.

I'm not trying to be an arse...I honestly want to know because perhaps I missed it. When did Shepard pout or make excuses?

From my point of view, he has a lot to bitch about but I never really heard him do so. The only thing I really remember is him saying it was difficult for him to learn the system as a freshman and sophomore because he was going to multiple meetings all the time. He would learn RB plays, QB plays, WR plays, sit in on RB meetings, QB meetings, WR meetings, and it was somewhat overwhelming.
