he was running full speed, knew he was getting closed in on the last 30-40 yards and could do nothing about it.

I disagree with you and I go on tonpointnout that this is completely anecdotal. Where enpiricaclly Malcolm Jenkins is slower than a great number Of WR as a safety in man coverage he hasn't shown much as far as covering TEs goes.
