Better not to start number one?

Anybody happen to know how many teams who started at #1 week one actually won the national title in the BCA era?

The #1 that counts is the BCS poll, that gives you a slight advantage.

Those were from my polls.

Florida State 1999 and USC 2004 are the two that are real.

Its better to not start number one.

Bama will not start number one this year, sadly. Ohio State will.
