I didn't forgo my lease, I signed a 2 year and in it it said after the conclusion it would turn into a month to month contract.....Ita not like I'm some Tom dick or Harry, I ve been his tenet for going on almost 3.5 years.....

It's not bad business if he indeed has people lining up to rent at his increased price. Bad business would be him NOT jacking up the rent when he could. You need to get past the idea that you've been loyal and understand that this is his business, and if the market has gone up then he must take advantage.
