Disagree, though I suspect he's right to an extent.

The biggest problem I see is the lack of quality English talent to form the cores of all 20 BPL squads.

He can point to the Bayern's, Dortmund's and Barcelona's of the world, but surely he also realizes that the cumulative talent in those countries is greater than England's.

Newcastle isn't terrible because they don't have a bunch of English players, they're terrible because they have Pardew as a manager who throws shite at the wall until something sticks.

Has anyone read Soccernomics? They talk about how having a limit on the number of foreign players is actually bad for your league and bad for your national team's development.

I actually thought this was a nice commentary on youtube:
