Who cares? Why does a player have to "announce" he's gay?

Because its not a physical feature.

WOW! Do you mean outside the human race? And are you comparing homoseuality to race?

That's the norm for libs and their followers. If you don't agree with the homo lifestyle you need to be educated. If you don't believe in global warming you need to be educated. If you don't like abortion you need to be educated.

Then if you still disagree you are the bigot.

If you ask me they are the true bigots. They are so against a traditional lifestyle that they are blinded to the views of anyone else.

If guys like Jason Collins come out, it will show people like Alfred Blue that being gay doesn't make you a sissy. He's one of the most physical players in NBA history.

SO Alfred Blue is gay?

Well, I for one am proud of the Rant for handling a topic like gay rights with such thoughtfulness and repose. Not that I expected anything different.

Because it is colossal movement for the gay community and could eventually change our societies perception on homosexuals and their lifestyle.

Nothing will make this happen. Those who offer support will continue to offer support and those who don't will not offer support. I have family members who are homosexual, like many of you, and I love and support them but I do not support homosexuality. That being said, I also do not go out of my way to voice my opinion of the lifestyle because it's not my lifestyle.

Why do people keep saying this? I haven't seen one person called a bigot. No one is forcing you to embrace homosexuals and accept their lifestyle.

I don't support Garrett's comments. Gays keep it to yourself u don't see straight people yelling out there heterosexual so why do u think we care about you when u "come out". As a Christian man I hate seeing this crap and the liberal media is loving it, even Obama congratulated Collins on "coming out" it's just disgusting and horrible

I am not a bigot. And I think homosexuality is disgusting. And comparing homosexuality to racism is disgusting. All races of people are still human. I don't have a problem with race. And people who disagree with me are bigots. Now put that in your pipe and smoke it. And I am responding the the thread, not the person who posted ahead of me. Negative comments about Islam and Homos are viewed as the same.

Because heterosexuals don't have to hide who they are. By publicly coming out, you see a "normal" face to homosexuality, and that there's nothing threatening about the person you were treating with respect before they came out. That's especially important in a team sport, where you now know that the gay guy is the same guy who played just as hard as you did, didn't hit on you in the locker room, etc. Coming out publicly helps to defuse the very issue.

You're right, absolutely disgusting and horrible.

Obama pays more attention to pop culture than running the country. And no president should tweet.
