How does the rant feel about him. Average out fielder, great arm, above average BA. I personally think him starting is a good idea going forward he tailed off last year so maybe getting a late start could be good for rest of season.

He looked fine at the plate this weekend. I might consider putting in McMullen in RF and letting him DH though.

He needs to get better fielding, but I'm in favor of him playing more vs LHP. Would like to see more hard hit balls, extra base hits, etc.

He did everything well this weekend with the exception of diving for a ball instead of keeping it in front of him.

I don't believe he has the power for a lot of extra base hits mostly singles and one home run I believe so far this year.

I think he can settle in now and start vs. both left and right handed pitching. It's nice to have a fluid lineup set and with Laird hitting a freshman wall it seems it's good to have Foster as a legit 2-hole option.

Considering our other option is basically to start Stevenson in center and Laird in right which is great for defense but puts an automatic out into the lineup.

Sciambra is still an option but with him there still isn't enough offense to overcome decent but not great defense.

Lineup would be awesome if Foster could field really well or Stevenson could hit much better.

For now I like...

1. McMullen DH
2. Foster RF
3. Bregman SS
4. Katz 1B
5. Rhymes LF
6. Ibarra 3B
7. Laird CF
8. Ross C
9. Jones 2B

Foster has a great arm. (feel free to pass that on to Katz)

Please move him to DH. Completely whiffed on that ball in the 1st. He can not field and that's why he consistently ends up on the bench.

Kinda sucks that our super speedy outfield we were excited about didn't quite go as planned.

This is also Harry Caray's opinion.
