lets be real, if drew goes down we are fricked. THere is no backup we can ride even enough to get by. spending any picks on a player that is only there as a band aid once we've been gutted is useless
Think about it- they got Chase ready to play at an acceptable level after a couple years (presumably), and he wasn't drafted. Drew will eventually get old, and you're gonna want a good replacement ready, ala Rodgers following Favre.
My guess is Drew will be done around 36-37, and so you are gonna start picking your spot soon. This year the way guys dropped, if we had extra picks, it would have been worth a look.

You don't draft a replacement 4 years out when you have one of the worst defenses in history.
