That's how you do it. Keep them hooked so they have to come back for more.
You NEVER give a ho her own money.

Won't happen. But the non guaranteed money is smart

Insulating themselves was necessary

Guess he is going to broke until week 1. That sucks.

Like it. Hopefully P Squared can keep him in check.

Have to think Tyrann and his agent agreed to that before the draft so that he could get taken higher or something. Otherwise that's pretty terrible agent work in my opinion.

I hope he makes it, but the dude's a mental train wreck. I hope he's able to get that somewhat fixed.

That is very possible. The weekly drug test I can deal with, but the no guaranteed money seems a bit out of line.

not really for a guy who has not played a down of football in a year

Yep. Basically, they reached for the rights to a potentially high ceiling guy, but are paying him like a UFA to protect themselves on the back end.
They still assume some risk because of how early they drafted him, but are mitigating as much of it as possible.

The other big name CB who signed a contract with no guaranteed money was Revis...this pretty much means Mathieu is the next Revis.

That is kind of messed up. His agent should not accept this. The cardinals drafted him knowing the risks involved. If he has a career ending injury in his first year he will have nothing.
