Their reason was that Elway grew up and played college ball on the west coast and wanted to keep playing near there. He even said he didn't like the cold. Bradshaw's interview in the 30 for 30 is great though. "Go play baseball."

That wasn't the real reason. If you watched it closely the agent said that's just what they made up. They didn't like the way that the Colts organization was being run. Which I believe is a valid point. Now maybe he wanted to stay close to where he grew up which is something I could see as a natural thing for a kid who's stayed in the same place his whole life. But it was because they didn't like the way the organization was being run which is valid.
