I don't trust the Freys, that old man is bat shite crazy and I'm not sure he will be so forgiving to Robb for breaking it off with his daughter.
With that being said, Tywin Lannister don't give a shite bout nothing but winning the war and dominating all of Westeros. His kids almost mean nothing to him but being used for leverage. However, he may really love Jamie based off of his reaction after he was taken prisoner.

unless word has gotten around town that Robb married that chick on the down low, they could still go to the Frey's and act like he's there to marry the Frey's daughter.

he doesn't love jamie
jamie is his heir and is the only hope of the next generation of lannister still having a pristine name
i'm not a book reader, but there is an explanation for why tywinn acts the way he does (it's in the history of westeros, on the DVDs, so it's not from the book)
