I believe the code of business conduct for most businesses is self reporting to your supervisor if an arrest occurs.

Yep. And I'd explain the situation to them and they'd say "its ok, go back to work and let me know how it plays out" or something like that.

I've worked for 5 different large companies over the course of my 25 year professional petrochemical career and have never heard of this. It might depend upon what the type of business you are in, though. If you were the Parish priest a misdemeanor might cause a stink.

I would never self report an arrest. It is none of my employers business.
