Yeah if we draft Jones I hope we get some SEC refs to come with him.

I have a feeling we finally go LB here. I would really like to get some real depth that could even push Vilma/Hawthorne for the job opposite Lofton.

Someone like AJ Klein or Nico Johnson would be great

I burst in to laughter so loud it startled my dog

Myself and a buddy always talk about how Bama Oline never get called for anything and I had to call and tell him that line. He enjoyed it as well

Does anyone know what next years QB class looks like?

Much better than this years. The likes of McCarron, Murray, Manziel (most likely), and others.

I think actually using a pick on a QB this year is waste. Drew us only 34 still and the only way he's getting playing time is injury, and that's what we brought Wallace and McCown in for. I think next year might the one to start thinking about it unless they find an undrafted guy they like to start developing. But actually using a pick already would be a waste. Get us a linebacker or another WR

The Jones discussion reminds me of when I did this.

Ace Sanders WR SC and Mauti LB are a couple of guys with potential.

The only argument I'd have for that is do you think this many solid QBs drop this far again next year? This is a bit of an anomaly with only 1 QB in round 1 and 3 thru the third round. I'd agree QB isn't our most pressing need, but I just don't think you'll see this much value at the position this late again any time soon. I could be wrong

I'd really like Ace Sanders if he falls to our 5th or 6th. Dude was probably the best returner in CFB last year and is an absolute burner

Jones was a great individual, character guy who had a high football IQ, did everything Saban asked of him and was smart enough that Saban let him do the interviews. Also benefitted from being on Alabama and some gracious officiating. But as far as elite NFL talent he doesn't make the grade. He will be a decent enough back up for some years and that's about all.

As a fifth round pick, I'd be okay with that. Certainly you want to find a gem late but that doesn't always happen. If he spelled Evans/Grubbs for 2-3 years, that's a good 5th rounder IMO. You don't always get Carl Nicks in the fifth

Yeah that was a freaking STEAL.

It goes to show that the FO does some great work in the later rounds. I'm maybe more excited about today's picks than the first 2 days.

I wouldn't mind another tackle if Faulk is still there

There's a reason no one even has even talked about Faulk.

Which is unfortunate. He's made such a huge mistake leaving school. He was a 1st round mock before his knee.

Shame
