John Jenkins (DT)
HT: 6'4" WT: 346LBS.
POSITION: DT
SCHOOL: Georgia
ARM LENGTH: 34"
BENCH PRESS: 30 REPS
In his two years at UGA he had 78 tackles and 4 sacks. He had 1 forced fumble, 1 interception and 24 quarterback pressures.
Not much we didn't already know. Big body. Weight gets out of hand at time, but talent is there. Big time. Great pick IMO because it fills a need with a good talent.

Bottom Line
Jenkins is a massive junior college transfer with great upside as a run-stuffer, but is limited to being a nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme because of his lack of quickness. His impressive size and strength will likely make him coveted, but needs to improve his balance and pad-level.

04/24/13 - 2013 NFL DRAFT RANG'S GANG: DT: John Jenkins, Georgia, 6-4, 346, 5.23...Jenkins has been known to let his weight get out of control, but that is the only reason I can see as to why he won't prove to be a quality defender in the NFL. He is remarkably light on his feet for a man of his size and has excellent power. He's too wide to offer much as a pass-rusher but hustles. Perhaps most intriguing, he stood out in Georgia's biggest games, especially against Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

COMPARES TO: B.J. Raji, NG, Green Bay Packers -- Like the former Boston College standout, Jenkins' mass and strength are the most obvious of his impressive physical characteristics, but surprisingly light feet and willingness to fight through blocks to provide some interior pass rush are attributes which could lead to a steady ascent as the draft approaches.

Looks like a good one.
A long time friend asked me if he could catch Clay Matthews with just those two on a football field.

Lets hope it doesn't come to that.
