The "but what if got injured again" is the worst argument ever. He's already going to have to fight for a NFL roster spot at this point and if he gets injured as some say he could in college next season, in the NFL they would just place him on IR and then cut him. Career over anyways.

How many times do players get severe injuries twice too? It's an ACL tear, not exactly something that TENDS to happen multiple times and is a common injury players come back from now.

He would have made a lot more GUARANTEED money coming back for another year.

Who said anything about another ACL? He could just get nicked up and it affects his play. If he was guaranteed to have a big year coming back, then he can make a team and get paid now.

There is no guarantee he would have been drafted any higher if he came back, you are just speculating. 2 days ago people were talking about Jesse Williams going in the first, he's still on the board as well.

He could very well get injured in the NFL but he'd at least get a couple hundred thousand if on the roster as a backup or even 3rd string. League minimum is like $375, 000 a yr and he would never get close to that five years down the road coming out of school at a regular job. It's actually better that he plays on the OL because the league really needs depth at that position considering how fast and often the big men go down. A young tackle, he has nothing to worry about unless they need him immediately.

Now for the other side of that. If he tears another acl or the same acl I can promise you he won't be the same. Big men tearing an acl twice could end their career before it starts. Let him get to a team with a strong LT, RT and be depth while collecting checks. might go 3 years with 10 starts and end his contract having made a mill before taxes. I'd rather take that chance than come back and risk ending my career (this is a lineman we're talking about here)
