New caliper on rear brakes. Hooked brake line up but it's not sealing correctly and fluid is shooting out. Am I missing something? I know the bolt has the hole in it that allowed the fluid from the line into the breaks and I imagine I have it lined up correctly. Any tips on how to be sure of this?

Also my new caliper came with 2 brass rings or washers. Where am I supposed to put these. Didn't notice any on the old one. Tia

As soon as i read that, I thought, he forgot the copper washers.

The washers you have goes on the banjo bolt one above, one below the brake line fitting.

Well ill be damned. Figured those brass rings were there for a reason. Always change breaks, never caliper. Turns out GI Joe was onto something. Knowing IS half the battle

No joke. I actually have a brand new set of front pads for a Ford Fusion. I was given bad information about needing a brake job and thought, nah, I'll do it myself. Bastards were about to replace pads with another 40K in them. Anyway, now I have an expensive set of OEM pads and nowhere to put them.
