Was about a 15 acre patch if woods between us and the neighbor and we had a big white oak fall in there. We built an elaborate village on that tree. Even had a small creek by it that we were convinced we could catch frogs, and crawfish from it to live off of in addition to robins that net their death at the hands of a pellet gun

We all still played all the video games, but we spent more time outside than we played those. In my neighborhood the woods were thick with thorns and what not, we made paths where we could get to anyone's backyard in the neighborhood. Took pallets from a building site and tried to make a fort, but we failed, the woods were thick enough to keep off most rain anyways. Good times.
