Bobcats fire Mike Dunlap after one season

Took the team from 7 wins to 21, seemed to be developing the young guys (Kemba in particular), but is shown the door because apparently this was a playoff roster that didn't meet expectations.

“Rich Cho and I conducted our season-ending review and met with Coach Dunlap to reflect on this season. As an organization, it was decided that we needed to make a change with the head coach position,” Higgins said. “We want to thank Mike for his contribution and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
Dunlap was hired as the fifth head coach in franchise history on June 20, 2012 and posted an overall record of 21-61.

That is really stupid, but my guess is they want to make a run at Phil (which despite MJ being the owner, they won't get).

Terrible hire to begin with, but the guy didnt have a lot to work with. He did make some good rotation changes towards the end of the season though, and the Bobcats improved slightly.
