I got rid of my 2004 F-150 to "upgrade" to a 2007 Yukon and I HATE IT. The F-150 had 160,000 miles when I sold it and was far more solid than the Yukon. The Yukon actually gets about the same MPG as the F-150 - even though the truck was riding on 34" tires. The Yukon just had $1000 worth of ball joints done at only 65,000 miles. And there are other issues: the leather looks like shite on the driver's seat, the 2nd row arm rest broke by itself, the lift gate motor sounds like shite.
Long story short: I tried to give "new" GM a chance and they still suck.
However, I got a steal of a deal on the Yukon and could sell it for more than I bought it for 9 months ago. I'm thinking about getting a 2003 Mercedes G-Wagen since they don't depreciate very much.

Just curious. How old are you? Are you maximizing your contributions to 401(k) and other retirement accounts? Do you have 6 months of living expenses tucked away?
What the frick is 6 mos worth of cash going to do when the dead rise to feast on the flesh of the living, Rick?
Better to invest in canned goods and ammo IMO.
